Kim is a shareholder
at Stafford Frey Cooper. She provides consultation and representation
to both businesses and individuals, with a focus on employment
law. She has litigated employment law issues in state and federal
court, successfully recovered substantial awards to plaintiffs
in wage, discrimination and harassment cases, conducted numerous
mediations, successfully defended employers in discrimination
cases, and conducted all phases of discovery and pleadings practice.
Kim also consults clients to avoid the costs of litigation.
She regularly reviews employment law manuals, conducts various training
workshops, and reviews employment-related contracts.
In addition to her employment law practice, Kim maintains
an active litigation practice involving civil rights, construction
defects, attorney malpractice, commercial torts and general litigation.
She served as a mediator in a commercial dispute. She has
taken cases to verdict state and in federal court and argued at the appellate
level in state and federal court.
Kim clerked for the National Labor Relations
Board in Washington D.C. before she joined Stafford Frey Cooper. She currently serves as chair of Stafford Frey Cooper's attorney recruiting committee, and is the first Vietnamese American female shareholder in Seattle's top 50 law firms. In 2007 Kim attended a trade mission to Vietnam with Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed. Education
