| Stafford Frey Cooper's
nonprofit corporations practice group has broad experience representing
organizations in the various events and transactions that occur
in their special category of operations. Our representation
of nonprofit corporations includes formation and organization,
development of membership and management structure; guidance
in direction of operations to comply with nonprofit status; and
litigation.
Issues related to nonprofit corporations include complex federal
and state tax exempt activities and taxation compliance. At
Stafford Frey Cooper, we work with clients and their accountants
in establishing tax-exempt status, whether as a 501(c)(3) organization,
eligible to receive tax-deductible donations, or one of the many
other categories of tax exempt organizations under the Internal
Revenue Code. We also work with clients to help them operate
in a manner that complies with their tax-exempt status.
